Following a fire incident at an sago factory at Sathasivapuram in Attur on Sunday, officials on Monday ordered suspension of its operation. The fire broke out at the factory, reportedly owing to short-circuit, on Sunday evening and spread to a room where chlorine had been dumped. When workers tried to extinguish the fire in the room, they experienced breathing difficulty and some fainted.
