Osun 2026: ‘Civil servants’ welfare guaranteed under AMBO’s government’

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Basiru, has assured civil servants in Osun State that their welfare will be improved under the administration of Asiwaju Bola Munirudeen Oyebamiji (AMBO) if elected governor on August 15, 2026. Basiru also pledged that AMBO would empower farmers and strengthen critical sectors of the economy. Speaking during a governorship rally at Ila Federal Constituency, Basiru said: “AMBO possesses the experience and economic knowledge required to drive meaningful development across Osun State. That is why we are endorsing him. He understands governance, business, and the economy, and we believe he will use these resources to build a better future for our children.” He emphasised that an APC administration under AMBO would prioritise workers’ welfare, agriculture, education, healthcare, and security. “Our civil servants deserve better welfare because they remain the engine of government,” he said. On agriculture, Basiru noted: “AMBO will support our farmers to produce more and create opportunities for their products to reach wider markets, bringing greater financial rewards to them. Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate, promised to complete abandoned road projects and construct more rural roads to boost agriculture and economic activities across the state. “When I become governor, we will complete this road and ensure that other roads linking our towns and villages are also constructed.
