Over 46 kg of ganja, 100 kg of gutkha seized; 11 arrested in Avadi
Avadi City Police arrested 11 individuals and seized large quantities of ganja and banned gutkha products during a two-day enforcement drive. The police have committed to continuing these operations to curb the distribution of illegal substances.
The Avadi City Police seized 46.85 kg of ganja and 100.74 kg of banned gutkha products in a series of raids carried out on Thursday and Friday, as part of its ongoing drive against the sale and distribution of drugs and banned tobacco products. Eleven persons were arrested in connection with the seizures. The police said the special enforcement drive against narcotic substances and banned tobacco products would continue across the commissionerate.
