In the run-up to the 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a video on Instagram, asking Indians to participate in the ‘ Har Ghar Tiranga ’ (the Tricolour at every house) campaign. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) parliamentary party group also waved the national flag at its weekly meeting, held in the Parliament House complex every Tuesday when Parliament is in session.
