Police should act impartially in caste killing crimes: NGO

An NGO has called for stricter legal action against caste-based killings in Tamil Nadu, citing eight incidents in 75 days. The organization criticizes police handling of these cases, specifically regarding the disposal of bodies and failure to register murder charges.
In the last 75 days alone, eight caste killing incidents have been reported in Tamil Nadu and Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay should take measures to bring about a law to stop such heinous crimes, said A. Kathir, executive director of Evidence, here on Saturday.
