Princess Aliyah marks 18th birthday with grand celebration

<p>Princess Aliyah finally celebrated her much-awaited 18th birthday with a grand debut party after a month of preparations. </p><p>According to Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras" on Friday, the young singer and actress was hands-on in planning the celebration, from conceptualizing her pre-debut photoshoot and choosing her outfits to attending the food tasting and venue ocular for the special occasion.</p><p>Princess shared that she initially suggested going on a trip instead of having a lavish celebration, but her family encouraged her to experience a traditional debut.</p><p>"My sister and mom said that since they didn't have a debut, I should be the one to have it. Even though I suggested we just travel instead, they said no so that at least one of us would get to experience something like this," she said in Filipino. </p><p>Looking every bit the princess in a blush Francis Libiran gown, Princess shared that she would be treating guests to a series of musical performances.</p><p>"My non-negotiable for this, well, I said I wanted to turn my birthday into a sort of mini-concert. I want to showcase my talent in singing and dancing," she said. </p><p>Among those who joined her milestone celebration were her fellow "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemates, who were part of her 18 roses and 18 shots. </p><p>Also present at the event were GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo, along with other GMA executives.</p><p>Princess dropped her debut single "<a href="https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/showbiz/chikaminute/991321/princess-aliyah-drops-debut-single-amba/story/" target="_blank">Amba</a>" in June. It was also featured in "<a href="https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/showbiz/chikaminute/990122/caprice-cayetano-you-re-my-favorite-song-taping/story/" target="_blank">You're My Favorite Song</a>."</p><p>Princess is the Kapuso Fourth Big Placer of "<a href="https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/showbiz/chikaminute/978471/princess-aliyah-after-pbb-collab-2-0-journey-it-s-just-the-beginning/story/" target="_blank">Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0</a>," which featured 20 Gen Z celebrities from Sparkle and Star Magic.</p><p><strong> - Jade Veronique Yap/CDC GMA News</strong></p>
