Prosthetic hand camps to be held in all Andhra Pradesh districts by year-end
The Andhra Pradesh Red Cross Society, in partnership with international organizations, has launched a prosthetic hand-fitting initiative in Guntur. The program aims to provide advanced prosthetic devices to individuals with limb loss across all districts in the state by the end of the year.
In a significant step towards empowering persons with disabilities, the AP Red Cross Society, in collaboration with Rotary International and supported by the Tangience Foundation, USA, organised a special prosthetic hand-fitting camp in Guntur on Sunday (August 2, 2026). The camp provided advanced imported LN4 prosthetic hands to around 200 beneficiaries, helping them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
