PSX turns bullish, gains 2,931 points

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) experienced a significant bullish trend, with the KSE 100-index gaining over 2,900 points. Market capitalization and trading volumes saw substantial increases, reflecting broad investor confidence.
ISLAMABAD - The benchmark KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) turned around to a bullish trend on Wednesday, gaining 2,931.71 points, a positive change of 1.66 percent, to close at 180,014.93 points against 177,083.22 points recorded in the previous trading session. The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 740.558 million shares, compared to 711.271 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value expanded sharply to Rs35.907 billion from Rs25.874 billion. Market capitalisation increased to Rs20.090 trillion from Rs19.833 trillion recorded a day earlier. Out of 496 companies that traded in the ready market, 303 posted gains, 158 suffered losses, while 35 remained unchanged, reflecting an overall bullish momentum across the bourse. Trust Brokerage led the volume chart with 52.879 million shares, followed by WorldCall Telecom with 42.520 million shares and Cnergyico PK with 40.200 million shares.
