The companies will disclose their Q1 earnings through the stock exchanges. According to the BSE results calendar, 25 companies are scheduled to announce their quarterly earnings today. The earnings season continues to gather pace, with companies from the banking, financial services, manufacturing, consumer, textiles, infrastructure, healthcare and technology sectors set to report their financial performance. Fresh foreign fund outflows and selling in blue-chip HDFC Bank also dented market sentiment. Falling for the 5th straight day, 30-share BSE Sensex declined 331.62 points, or 0.43 per cent, to settle at 76,059.77. During the day, it tanked 916.96 points, or 1.20 per cent, to 75,474.43. The 50-share NSE Nifty dipped 102.15 points, or 0.43 per cent, to end at 23,767.45.
