Russian Goods Will Be Banned Very Soon
Latvia is set to implement a ban on various industrial goods imported from Russia and Belarus, including textiles, footwear, and printed materials. The move is part of an effort to sever economic ties with the two countries to enhance national security.
It should be noted that in July, at an extraordinary meeting of the Saeima, legislative amendments were urgently adopted, granting the government the authority to impose bans on certain industrial goods from Russia and Belarus. A list of goods prohibited for import from the Russian Federation and Belarus, prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has now been submitted for inter-ministerial approval.
