Classic City Investments Private Limited reportedly constructed residential villas and swimming pools approximately 55 metres from the high tide line of the Sinquerim River, allegedly in violation of CRZ regulations. The plea further claims that Salman Khan is the managing partner of the company.The PIL also challenges the occupancy certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat on April 30, 2025. It alleges that the construction on the plot, exceeded the approved building plans and that procedural 'irregularities' occurred during the issuance of the certificate.The petition names several respondents, including the Goa government, the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority, the Candolim Gram Panchayat, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and many other bodies.High Court issues noticeThe High Court has reportedly issued notices to all the respondents, seeking their responses to the allegations. The matter will be taken up further after the replies are filed.This update comes after the High Court previously expressed concern over the alleged 'illegal construction' along Goa's coastline.
