Savannah Guthrie begs Nancy Guthrie's kidnapper to reveal her location

Savannah Guthrie delivered a "very specific" message to her mother's kidnapper on Monday, more than 25 weeks after the 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished from her Arizona home. In an emotional plea posted to her Instagram account, Savannah Guthrie appealed directly to whoever is responsible for the kidnapping, saying that her family is "in agony" and "will never stop looking for her." "Do the right thing now," Guthrie urged her mother's unidentified kidnappers. "Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her." It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts. The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place," Savannah Guthrie said. "I truly believe it is never too late to do right thing. Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us. No matter where we've been and what we've done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice." A federal source close to the Guthrie case told Fox News that Savannah Guthrie was in communication with law enforcement about releasing her newest video. It was her first message in weeks, as official updates have slowed to a trickle and there have been no signs of her mother's whereabouts. The elder Guthrie, 84, was taken from her home in Tucson's Catalina Foothills neighborhood in the early hours of Feb. 1, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department. The results of DNA testing and other forensics have not been made public as the case drags on without signs of Guthrie. A purported ransom note and an apparent follow-up message that claimed she had died have not been confirmed as authentic by investigators. No suspects have been publicly identified. Earlier in the case, two men were detained, questioned and released without charges after searches of their vehicles and family homes. Neither has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Guthrie's disappearance. Fox News' Matt Finn contributed to this report.
