SC panel member requests CM for allocation of lands to build burial grounds

A member of the Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Scheduled Castes has requested the Chief Minister to allocate land for burial and cremation grounds in every village. The request follows reports of land encroachment and a lack of designated spaces for these communities.
Member of AP State Commission for Scheduled Castes Ravada Seetharam requested Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to direct Revenue Department to earmark lands for the construction of cremation grounds and burial grounds in each and every village of the State. Mr. Seetharam met the CM in Amaravati and submitted a detailed report over the lack of burial grounds in several parts of North Andhra region and other places, according to a release.
