Silver nanocatalysts switch reaction sites between power generation and hydrogen production

Researchers from Seoul National University and other institutions have discovered that silver nanocatalysts function differently depending on whether a solid oxide cell is generating electricity or producing hydrogen. This finding provides a new design principle to improve the efficiency and lifespan of next-generation energy devices.
