Singer Kulio inaugurated as NANS entertainment director

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has appointed musician Kulio as its Director of Entertainment. The initiative aims to use creative arts to foster student engagement, talent discovery, and national unity.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has inaugurated music artiste, Comrade Chimezie Chibuike Iseoluwa, popularly known as Kulio, as its Director of Entertainment. The inauguration was described by student leaders as a significant step toward harnessing the creative potential of Nigerian students across universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other tertiary institutions. Speaking after his inauguration, Kulio thanked the NANS leadership for the confidence reposed in him and promised a purposeful, result-driven administration. “Entertainment remains one of the most powerful tools for youth engagement, national unity, innovation, and social transformation,” he said. The new director outlined his vision to focus on talent discovery and industry exposure for students while maintaining that education remains the top priority. Kulio also said the directorate would use entertainment to promote peace, unity and responsible student engagement on campuses, while discouraging violence, cultism, drug abuse and other social vices. “Entertainment is not merely about performances or social gatherings. It is a powerful platform for leadership, creativity, entrepreneurship, and nation-building. My goal is to ensure that every talented Nigerian student has an opportunity to be discovered, supported, and celebrated,” he stated. The appointment has drawn positive reactions from student leaders and members of the creative industry, many of whom said having a practising music artiste lead the directorate would bring fresh ideas, stronger industry collaborations, and more opportunities for students. With the new administration in place, expectations are high that the Directorate of Entertainment will position campus entertainment as a strategic tool for youth empowerment, talent development, and national cohesion.
