SIR: ASDDO list goes public
The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer has released a public list of voters categorized as 'ASDDO' (absent, shifted, duplicate, dead, or others) to allow for verification. Affected voters can contact their Booth Level Officer to correct their status before the August 8 deadline.
After much agitation by civil society groups demanding that the ASDDO list be made public, Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) V. Anbu Kumar on Tuesday released a link for voters to check whether their names have been wrongly marked under the absent, shifted, duplicate, dead and others (ASDDO) category.
