South Indian States, Central agencies to form permanent anti-drug coordination network

Southern Indian states and central agencies are establishing a permanent coordination network to combat drug trafficking. The initiative, linked to Kerala's 'Operation Toofan', involves intelligence sharing and joint enforcement operations.
A permanent interstate coordination mechanism involving the police forces of southern Indian States of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, along with the Union Territory of Puducherry will be established to strengthen anti-drug surveillance in the region.
