State sets focus on development of new coal blocks and enhancing mine safety
A delegation from Telangana is visiting the U.S. to study advanced mining technologies and safety standards used by companies like Caterpillar and Komatsu. The goal is to modernize Singareni Collieries through automation and remote-control systems.
A high-level delegation led by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and comprising senior officials from Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and GMMCO Ltd is currently on an official tour of the United States to study advanced mining technologies and strengthen safety standards in Singareni operations. As part of the visit, the team toured the manufacturing and technology centres of global mining equipment giants Caterpillar and Komatsu in Arizona and Texas.
