Supersede BCC if it doesn't pass resolution supporting Mahajan commission: Vatal Nagaraj
Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj has demanded that the Belagavi City Corporation be superseded for failing to support the Mahajan Commission. He also announced plans for a Karnataka bandh to protest water-sharing policies.
“The Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) has failed to follow the State government's directions on passing a resolution in favour of the Mahajan Commission on the border issue. The State government should warn the BCC of strict action against it if doesn't follow the directions. If it delays this further, it should supersede the urban local body,” said Vatal Nagaraj, Kannada activist, in Belagavi on Wednesday (August 5).
