Surrender of 151 super speciality seats: T.N. Medical Officers Association faults State government’s handling of Supreme Court case

With the Supreme Court directing Tamil Nadu government to surrender 151 unfilled super speciality medical seats to the All India Quota (AIQ), the Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association (TNMOA) criticised the State government’s handling of the case, saying it had been marked by negligence and a lack of seriousness from the beginning. None of the senior advocates appointed by the government appeared before the court on Tuesday (July 28, 2026), it said.
