Synthesis, characterization, and adsorption mechanism of clay/cobalt-based MOF nanocomposites for enhanced removal of methylene blue

Scientists have synthesized cobalt-based metal-organic framework nanocomposites using clay to improve the removal of methylene blue from wastewater. The study found that the Sep-ZIF-67 composite offered the highest adsorption capacity and potential for industrial water treatment.
