TB screening and CKG Program across 532 correctional facilities

The Indonesian government has launched a national tuberculosis screening and health check program across 532 correctional facilities. This initiative aims to ensure inmates receive equitable healthcare and reduce the higher-than-average TB prevalence within the prison population.
Jakarta, IO – The Indonesian government has reaffirmed its stance that incarcerated individuals have the same right to healthcare services as the public. For this, the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, officially launched the National Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and Free Health Check (CKG) Program at Ngaseman Class IIA Correctional Facility on Nusakambangan Island, Cilacap, Central Java, on Monday (29/6/2026).
