Telangana rolls out AI-powered emergency number 112, slashes response time
Telangana Police has launched an AI-powered emergency response platform integrated with the national 112 helpline. The system uses real-time location tracking and AI to prioritize incidents and dispatch the nearest patrol vehicles.
Telangana Police launched what it called an artificial intelligence-driven platform aimed at making emergency assistance faster and more coordinated across the state when citizens dial 112 . The system was inaugurated by Director-General of Police C.V. Anand at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC) in Hyderabad, in the presence of senior police and government officials on Wednesday (August 5, 2026).
