Five players won Strike Four, each taking $40,000, with tickets sold in Auckland, Waihi, Kawerau, Taupō and Wellington. Twenty-nine players from Dargaville, Auckland, Waitakere, Tauranga, Hamilton, Gisborne, Napier, Clive, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, Christchurch, Dunedin and Invercargill each won $19,686 in Second Division. "Anyone who bought a ticket from any of the above winning stores should check their ticket as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through MyLotto App," a Lotto spokesperson said. The jackpot had climbed to $40m after going unclaimed on Wednesday night, making it the biggest Lotto prize on offer so far this year. It also edged closer to the country's biggest-ever individual Lotto win — the $44.06m claimed by an Auckland ticket-holder a decade ago.
