Two men arrested over couple robbery, gang rape in Kikuyu
Two men have been arrested in Kikuyu, Kenya, for allegedly robbing a couple and sexually assaulting the female victim after a traffic accident. Police are currently investigating the suspects' potential links to other violent crimes in the region.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said the suspects, identified as Kevin Ndereba Kilonzo, 29, and Shaban Warui Zainab, 34, were arrested in Kamangu, Kikuyu, on Friday, July 31, following an intensive investigation led by detectives from the DCI Headquarters' Operations Action Team (OAT), the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) and Kikuyu detectives.
