UDF members to head Syndicate panels in Calicut University

The University of Calicut has appointed UDF-affiliated members to lead its Syndicate standing committees and named a new pro Vice-Chancellor. Additionally, the university plans to confer honorary degrees on several prominent figures and has admitted a transwoman to its PhD program.
Members affiliated with the United Democratic Front (UDF) have been chosen as chairpersons of the various standing committees in the Syndicate of the University of Calicut. P. Rasheed Ahammed, who has been a Syndicate member since 2019, has been appointed the pro Vice-Chancellor as well.
