The United Democratic Front (UDF) government has decided to proceed with the Union government’s Prime Ministers’ Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) with the intention of pleasing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Communist Party of India (CPI) State Secretary Binoy Viswam has alleged. He said that with the Union government’s reply in the Rajya Sabha, it has become clear that the Chief Minister’s and the Education Minister’s claims that the State had received money by signing the PM SHRI agreement are false.
