Uganda to establish new refugee settlement in Kitgum

The Ugandan government plans to open a new refugee settlement in Kitgum to alleviate overcrowding in existing facilities. Officials are also coordinating emergency relief for the Karamoja region, which is suffering from severe food insecurity due to climate-related shocks.
