Uniform portal for migrant worker data to be launched in Kerala
The Kerala government is launching a uniform portal to track migrant worker data and improve their security. The initiative includes a Hindi language training program called 'Har din surakshit' and the development of rest facilities for gig workers.
A uniform portal to bring together all data related to migrant workers that is available with various departments will be launched, Minister for Labour Bindu Krishna has said. The Minister said migrant workers came to the State and returned, but there were no data available on their numbers. The Labour department, in association with other departments and with the support of the IT department, will ready a uniform portal.
