West Bank terror leader indicted for murder of IDF soldier

The Military Advocate-General (MAG) filed an indictment against Kamal Khatib for the murder of Sergeant-Major (Res.) Yehuda Geto, who was killed during IDF activity in the Nur Shams refugee camp in July 2024. Khatib is the head of the Nur Shams Brigade terror organization, according to the IDF, which is the organization responsible for Geto's death.According to the indictment, Khatib remotely detonated an explosive device that had been planted in anticipation of IDF activity in the area. As a result, Geto's military vehicle was overturned, and Geto was thrown from the vehicle and killed. Another soldier sustained wounds to the head and chest. Khatib is also accused of a long series of terrorist acts, the military said, including managing and directing the Nur Shams Battalion, recruiting terror operatives, planting explosives, trafficking weapons, and supplying terrorists with funds and military equipment. The indictment charged Khatib with murder, attempted murder, trafficking in military equipment, and planting a bomb, among other offenses.
