Winner of Florida python hunting contest nabs 96 snakes: ‘I was on a mission’
A Florida man won a state-sponsored python hunting competition by removing 96 invasive Burmese pythons from the Everglades. The event aims to mitigate the ecological damage caused by the snakes, which have been an invasive threat since the 1990s.
