Pakistan dropped to the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 standings after an 90-run defeat to the West Indies in the opening Test at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. It was Pakistan's eighth straight away Test loss, leaving them with just one win from five matches and a points percentage (PCT) of 6.66.West Indies, despite the victory, remained eighth in the standings with two wins from 11 Tests. Babar Azam remained unbeaten on 58 but found little support from the rest of the batting order.
