'You dare to demand Modi's resignation?' Masked men assault protester in Bengaluru
A 19-year-old student activist in Bengaluru was assaulted by masked men following his participation in protests against the government. The incident has sparked local concern regarding the safety of political protesters.
BENGALURU: A member of the All India Students Association (AISA) was allegedly attacked over a remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The incident, according to AISA, occurred on Tuesday night when a 19-year-old student was assaulted by a group of unidentified persons, who also threatened him, saying: “You dare to demand the resignation of Modi?”Four unknown persons, who were wearing masks, travelling on two two-wheelers, allegedly blocked the student who was on his way home at around 10.30pm, confirmed his identity before hitting his right leg with a piece of hard wood before fleeing the scene.The student reportedly incurred serious injuries on his leg which had to be plastered.
