KARACHI - Dr. Ziauddin Hospital observed World Hepatitis Day 2026 under the global theme, "Hepatitis: Let's break it down," and "Elimination for everyone, everywhere...right now!". The event featured an awareness walk, followed by an educational symposium attended by healthcare professionals, faculty members, medical students, and members of the public. The symposium was chaired by Prof. Uzma Ghori, Head of the Department of Medicine at Ziauddin Hospital, and graced by Prof. Dr. S. M. Wasim Jafri, Founding President and Patron of Pakistan Society for the Study of Liver Diseases, as the Guest of Honor. The scientific session included a presentation by Dr. Khurram Baqai on the epidemiology of viral hepatitis.
