How Many Follow-Up Questions You Can Ask

Follow-up questions are limited per session, and the limit depends on your plan. Here is exactly how many you get.

A per-session limit, not a daily one

Unlike the daily cap on starting new Dive Deeper sessions, the follow-up limit applies per individual session — it tracks how many questions you have asked within one specific report, and resets fresh every time you start a new dive.

The limits by plan

Follow-ups per Dive Deeper session:

  • Free — 1 follow-up question per session
  • Pro — 3 follow-up questions per session
  • Max — unlimited follow-up questions per session

You can see your remaining count

The follow-up chat shows how many questions you have used and how many remain for that session, so you always know where you stand before you ask another.

A failed answer does not cost you a question

If a follow-up fails to generate an answer due to a technical error, that attempt is not counted against your limit — you only spend a follow-up on a question that actually got answered.

Key takeaways

  • The follow-up limit is per session, not per day, and resets with each new Dive Deeper session.
  • Free gets 1 follow-up per session, Pro gets 3, and Max gets unlimited.
  • A failed answer due to a technical error does not count against your limit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get more follow-ups on a session I already started?

The follow-up limit for a session is set by your plan. Upgrading your plan increases the limit for future sessions; see how to get more Dive Deeper sessions and follow-ups for details.
